Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What is this website about?

A. This website is to help all first time buyers in the UK. My original aim, as the founder of this website, was to raise a 25% deposit for my first house by selling advertising from this website. The average price of a property where I lived (Suffolk, UK) when I started this website was £209,031! (Source: BBC) I have since bought a house and I will continue to use this website to help people that are still trying to buy their first property. I hope that this website will raise awareness of the extremes that people are going to, to get a foot on the property ladder. There needs to be more affordable housing, less buy-to-let, and banks that are willing to lend more to people with a good credit rating.

Q. Who are you?

A. I am Tim Ballard, I made FirstHousePage.com. I am a secondary school teacher and I have recently become a first time buyer. For more information, please visit my personal website at Tim-Ballard.co.uk.

Q. What are the rules when submitting an image and link? (Advertisers)

  • You must link to a web page starting with the HTTP prefix.
  • You must not submit an image that is animated.
  • Images must be in GIF, JPEG or PNG format.
